Ali McMath

Training: Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music

Alastair McMath is a double bass and bass guitar player and enjoys a varied musical career.

Musical theatre credits include: Cabaret (UK Tour), Ghost (UK Tour), Saturday Night Fever (UK Tour) and Heathers (UK Tour) amongst others.

Live/TV Credits include: A member of the award winning ‘Kabantu’- a folk/world quartet. With them Ali has performed; the BBC Proms, In Tune & World on 3 (BBC Radio 3), CBeebies TV (BBC) and many festivals that include Cambridge Folk, Shetland, Orkney, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Other skills: Orchestral and chamber playing, opera/ballet work, panto and jazz gigs. He enjoys a range of music and dabbles in digeridoo and banjo.
